About Jenson
Jenson started playing guitar at the age of nine. He started with acoustic lessons but soon decided he wanted to venture onto electric guitar as some of his biggest influences are guitarist like Paul Gilbert, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai.
While having lessons with his tutor, Mr Gregory Harper who is an excellent teacher and phenomenal musician / bass player, Jenson was in a band with other children and was lucky enough to get the opportunity to play stages like King Georges Hall and he even took the main stage of Darwen live in 2023.
In the same year Jenson decided he wanted to set himself a challenge and work towards taking the Trinity London grade 8 in guitar exam having already passed grade 6. Within a few months of working on this he was ready to sit the practical exam and in the August of 2023 at the young age of 12 years old Jenson passed this exam with a distinction making him one of the youngest in the country to achieve this.
From here Jenson decided he wanted to focus on his own work and guitar playing and has gone from strength to strength. His skills when he plays have been described as exceptional for his age, showing versatility and amazing technique.
In 2024 Jenson became a proud featured artist for Flattley Boutique Guitar & Bass pedals. This has been a great opportunity for Jenson and with Paul Flattleys support earlier this year he played the main stage at The North West Guitar show at Haydock Park. He also has other guitar shows that he has been asked to perform at throughout 2025 – 2026.
In May of this year Jenson became a proud artist for Wilkinsons Direct which was a dream come true as Trevor Wilikinson is very highly respected in the guitar world and has worked with many famous guitarist / musicians such as Leo Fender, Wayne Charvel, Seymour Duncan and many more.
In March of this year Jenson composed and released his first single, Delayed Reaction which has had a fantastic response and continues to do so. Jenson is currently working on new material.
In May of this year Jenson was given the amazing opportunity to support A Foreigners Journey who are Europes only tribute to Foreigner and Journey. He took the stage at The Burnley Mechanics Theatre and in June went out with them again and took to the stage of The Princess Alexandra Auditorium in Yarm. The exposure that Jenson has had from these shows has been amazing and he is planning on working with them in the future also.
